the Oregon Back Doula Assocation was founded in 2020 and has been operating and serving the community proudly since then. Our goal is to provide training community events to equip, educate and expand the black workforce. we strive to provide equitable and accessible recources not only to our clients but our doulas as well.

Our mission is to strengthen the black healthcare field in education and technique. To further educate healthcare workers and better avocate and represent for the black community. To provide accessible medical billing help. We the OBHTHW are actively pushing to reduce infant mortality and birth complications in our community as well as provide a safe and caring medical environment.

steps to becoming
a member
Most deaths during childhood take place during the first year of life, more specifically the first month of life (the neonatal period/ the earliest time of life ). Neonatal mortality accounts for roughly 48% of deaths of all infant deaths. in comparison to death rates in 2022 of children under the age of 5, which was 47%. Statistics call attention to the crucial need for improvement in healthcare and advocacy to educate families on preventative measures that can be taken to reduce infant mortality.
